How long you can stay
90 days in any 180A maximum of 90 days within any 180 consecutive days. The window rolls: on any day you are inside the Schengen area, count back 180 days and add up the days you were present — the total must stay at or under 90. Crucially, days are counted across all Schengen countries combined, not per country, so a week in France plus a week in Germany uses 14 days of your allowance. Arrival and departure days each count as a full day, and overstaying can lead to being refused entry later.
